This project presented unique challenges, particularly in the relationship between exterior and interior environments. Outdoors, the garden is developed within planters exposed to significant temperature variations, reaching up to 40 °C during summer. Working with just 10 cm of substrate required absolute precision, with species selected for their resilience, root architecture and ability to thrive under extreme conditions.
Indoors, the challenge is the opposite. A climate-controlled environment maintained by air conditioning creates cooler and stable temperatures (even throughout winter) demanding a distinct botanical approach. The adopted botanical association is a sustainable flowering garden, designed to ensure year-round blooming. Mediterranean and highly adaptable species provide continuity, vitality and balance, allowing interior and exterior spaces to operate as a single living ecosystem in constant, seasonal evolution.
