Lapa 30
A private single-family residence located in the historic core of old Lisbon, where the project unfolds in the rear garden. Changes in topography are resolved through terracing and stone retaining walls, creating a structured yet fluid planted landscape.
The garden was conceived with a clear tropical identity, shaped by careful botanical selection. Rare, collector-grade specimens (multiple-trunk Zamia furfuracea, a large-crowned Lepidozamia, a mature Cycas circinalis and a young Caryota maxima palm) are layered with ferns, philodendrons, palms and large-leaf foliage, resulting in a lush and immersive garden that balances botanical rarity with spatial precision.
